Safety is a priority at Sparks. Kids and adults learn proper technique and controlled training from day one, with a focus on technique over power, respect, appropriate intensity, and proper protection. Training progresses as students build skill and confidence.

We offer martial arts programs for kids, teens, and adults. Kids’ programs generally serve ages 4-15, while adults are generally 15+. Younger children may be placed based on maturity, ability to follow instruction, and experience. In some cases a 3-year-old may be ready for Little Sparks Jiu-Jitsu.

No! Our classes are open to all levels, and no martial arts experience or athletic ability is required. Beginners start with the basics and progress at their own pace while building strength, fitness, and practical martial arts skills.

Yes! We offer free trial classes for Kids Jiu-Jitsu, Kids Krav MMA, Adult Jiu-Jitsu, and Adult Krav MMA. Come in, meet the instructors, experience a class, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions and help you decide what’s next.

Absolutely! You’re welcome to come in, watch a class, and talk with us. Just send us a quick message or give us a call at 571-210-0377, and we’ll schedule your visit.

For Krav MMA, wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move freely, along with sports shoes. For Jiu-Jitsu, fitted athletic clothing works best since you’ll wear a Gi (uniform) over it. You don’t need a Gi for your first class - we’ll provide one for you to use during the trial.

You’ll meet your instructor, learn some fundamental techniques, and participate in the regular class at an appropriate level.
